TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience of our film is 18-25, this is mainly because the film is rated 18 so the viewer should be over this age to view. We have decided to choose this target audience because we feel that the storyline, setting etc is most effective for this age range of people.
On a cinema network website that has statistics of cinema goings in age 18-24 was one of the highest age groups of cinema goings. It also showed that the same range of these people who are at or going to university were also a high percentage of cinema goers.
The target audience of this film in terms of social status is middle class to working class (A, B, C1&C2) as this film is most appealing to this type of person; as the research we have done have shown these type of people will be at this type of institute (e.g. school) so more likely to relate to this type of person. When looking at the horror movie age profile 18-24 came out as the biggest percentage in the horror movie genre.
This film targets this audience because of the actors and characters in it as in the film it is set in a institute/ office block and is in corridors etc and the target audience are people who go to this type of institutes so they will relate they can relate to the actors and characters as they know what they feel like in these locations
